Stamford Hill

Two modern homes with flexible accommodation on a shared plot that maximise sea views.

Our brief was to create a modern family home which had flexible accommodation and maximised the sea views to the south. We also designed an additional property for the client’s parents. This also needed to benefit from the panoramic views but provide enough privacy and proportional amenity space for both properties.

The final scheme cleverly utilises the existing topography of the site, so the two new dwellings are able to maximise the view without overlooking each other. The individual properties were designed to create a restricted elevation to the front but a much more open elevation to the south facing views.

The fabulous panoramic vista is hidden from view and becomes a real ‘wow’ factor when you enter the houses. This project was awarded best of Houzz 2015 for design.
